CPO penalises 10 SHOs on different charges

FAISALABAD: City Police Officer (CPO) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry Thursday confiscated one-year service of ten SHOs of Faisalabad district on charges of not arresting proclaimed offenders (POs), showing slackness in performing duty, not completing targets of detaining hard criminals and taking bribe.

The CPO took action against Inspector Ashfaq Hussain, SI Umer Sarfraz Warraich, SI Tariq Ahmed and other SHOs.

The CPO asked the cops to mend their attitude and discharge their assigned duties vigilantly and honestly otherwise they will have to face departmental action.

He said efficient and dedicated cops would be awarded.

Double murder mystery solved: Dijkot police Thursday solved the mystery of the murder of a woman and her son.

The police arrested Ehsan-ul-Haq, who had killed his wife and his son the other day with a sharp-edged weapon and portrayed the incident as his wife killed her small son and then committed suicide over a petty issue.

City Police Officer (CPO) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry had suspended the then SHO and the transferred the entire staff of the Dijkot police when the incident of double killing took place.

HOUSE LOOTED: Three bandits barged into a house and took away cash, gold jewellry and other valuables in Sarfraz Colony (Ghulam Muhammadabad) on Thursday.

The robbers barged in the house of Muhammad Saleem and took family members hostage and snatched 42 tola gold jewellery and Rs 200,000 from a Canadian-returned girl.
