SIALKOT: Twenty people were arrested on charges of stealing power and tampering electricity meters.

Rangpura police detained Javed and Muhammad Ali, Cantonment police Afzal and Sarfraz, Civil Lines police Faisal Shehzad, Shahid Mehmood, Tariq Javed, Faisal Majeed, Usman, Safdar and Danish, Sadr Sialkot police Ghazanfar Ali and Allah Ditta, Phuklian police Akbar, Mautrah police Ansar and Ziaullah, Badiana police Rehman and Saleem, Phalora police Zulfiqar and Qila Kallerwala police arrested Muhammad Jamil and registered cases against them.

10 SHOPKEEPERS BOOKED FOR OVERCHARGING: Police on the report of Special Magistrate Mian Rafique booked ten shopkeepers over not displaying rate lists and overcharging buyers.

Cantonment police booked accused Akhtar, Abdullah, Mehmood, Iqbal and Shehbaz, Sambrial police Mohsin, Shehzad, Iftakhar, Imran and Roomi for overcharging customers.

3 HELD FOR SELLING FIREWORKS: Police Wednesday arrested three accused on charges of selling fireworks.

Police detained Imran, Rafaqat and Shah Hussain from Uggoki Moor and recovered 42,000 fireworks of different kinds from them.

16 GAMBLERS ARRESTED: Police Wednesday arrested sixteen gamblers. Police raided village Dhanawali and detained accused Usman, Badar, Usman and others when they were busy in gambling on the games of cards and snooker. The police seized Rs 16,360 stake money and booked them.

TWO KITE FLIERS HELD: Police Wednesday arrested two kite fliers.

Rangpura police arrested Usman and Azhar Imran and recovered kites and string rolls from their possession.
