Minister says govt committed to reforms

LANDIKOTAL: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Noorul Haq Qadri on Sunday said that his party was committed to bringing reforms and eliminating corruption.

The minister was speaking to a public gathering after he formally inaugurated two mega development projects worth Rs77.160 million and Rs59.659 million in Mullagori area of Jamrud subdivision in Khyber district. Qadri said that the completion of the projects would improve living standards in the area. He said that he became a federal minister because of his supporters from his constituency and he would not forget their loyalty towards him. He said that not only in his current tenure but even in his last one he had done a record number of developmental projects in his constituency. "The PTI believes in strong institutions and democratic values," he added.

He said that when Imran Khan became the prime minister, he either had to impose taxes on Pakistanis or take foreign loans.

The minister said that gradually Pakistanis would receive reward of the hard phase of life they were passing through. Senior PTI leader Ameer Khan Afridi and Zakat committee chairman Maulana Ihsanullah Junaidi accompanied the minister.

Mullagori elders including Malik Mannan Mullagori praised the dedication and sincerity of Noorul Haq Qadri with his constituents.

He thanked the federal minister for bringing millions of rupees projects to his village. Earlier, the federal minister formally inaugurated projects of water supply, roads, bridges, upgradation of schools, and installation of electricity feeder in local grid station.
