Another book Bacha Khan Ao Khudai Khidmatgaari (Baacha Khan and Khudai Khidmatgar Movement) by Khan Abdul Wali Khan in four volumes has also been brought out after 15 years. BTRC also published a book by a young writer Khan Zaman Kakar titling Pukhtani Leed Luri (Pashtun Perspectives) and the book on the life and works of known writer late Farmanuddin Bakhshaali. The centre runs a bookstore shelving its titles and also important works of other publishers to facilitate bibliophiles, research scholars and avid readers. Several important documents throwing light on the struggle of Bacha Khan’s Khudai Khidmatgaar Movement and services of his colleagues and staunch followers were preserved from being destroyed.

The writers and researchers at the BTRC worked hard to dig out such tattered papers and sources for the young generation and future youth to continue shining the legacy of Bacha Khan, Pashtuns and of the entire region through the peace narrative and written words. Set up in 2006 at Bacha Khan Markaz, the BTRC has published over 100 titles with several editions in Pashto, Urdu and English on variety of topics related to Khudai Khidmatgaar Tehrik , Bacha Khan, Abdul Wali Khan, research, dairies, profiles, art, women’s contributions, literature, social, cultural and political issues.

The main objective of the body is to preserve historical documents, profiles and memoirs scattered in private shelves and personal records and also to promote book culture among the youngsters so that they could know the facts and figures about the non-violence movement initiated by Bacha Khan and his devoted colleagues and shaped the pace of history in South Asia and the world at large.
