SWABI: The first PhD scholar of the University of Swabi (UoS), Asmatullah, defended his PhD thesis here on Friday.
As a student of Department of Pharmacy, he completed his PhD research dissertation under the supervision of Dr Abad Khan. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Imtiaz Ali Khan, Dean Dr Mukhtar Alam, Chairman, Department of Pharmacy, Prof Dr Muhammad Junaid, Director Academics Syed Asim Shah and experts from other universities, hospitals, drug manufacturing units and drug testing laboratory attended the defence. He completed his PhD research work under the scholarship grant provided by the Higher Education Commission. His topic was “Evaluation of the potential role of substance abuse in oxidative stress and its effect on hemato-biochemical parameters in human addicts.”
