The relatives launched hunt for her whereabouts and found her body in a water tank.

The police shifted the body to the District Headquarters Hospital in Parachinar where the doctors said that the minor girl was subjected to sexual assault before she was killed. District Police Officer Rahim Shah said that the police arrested eight suspects and sent their specimen to a DNA test in Lahore to ascertain the real culprits.

“It’s too early to say how many accused were involved in the gruesome murder of the minor girl. It will get clear after receiving the DNA report,” he said. Meanwhile, Brigadier Najjaf Abbas and Commanding Officer Col Muhammad Javed Ilyas Awan also visited the victim’s family in Pewar and assured her father, Waris Ali, who is also employed in the Frontier Corps, that the accused would not be spared.
