CM Mahmood Khan asks private sector to ensure quality education

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has said that private universities have an important role in promoting higher education in the province.

He was addressing the 2nd Convocation of Iqra National University, Peshawar. Besides staff and students, Minister for Agriculture Mohibullah Khan also participated in the convocation.

The chief minister said that for the provision of higher education, the private institutions should focus on imparting quality and modern higher education.

He added the incumbent government implemented reforms in the education sector for the promotion of modern and quality education, which has led to considerable improvement in the education sector.

“Education is very important for the development and prosperity of any nation,” he added. On the occasion, the chief minister awarded degrees to 320 MS and PhD students including Silver Medals to 34 students and Gold Medals to 14 students.
