Magic mountain park, skiing school inaugurated

MINGORA: Corps Commander Peshawar Lieutenant General Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood on Tuesday inaugurated the magic mountain park, skiing school and laid the foundation stone for hospital at scenic Malam Jabba.

General Officer Commanding (GOC), Malakand, Major General Muhammad Ijaz Mirza, Member National Assembly Dr Haider Ali, notables of the area and students from Swat, tribal districts and Indian occupied Kashmir were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Lieutenant General Shaheen Mazhar said that the project would go long way to boost tourism in the scenic Malam Jabba valley and in providing employment opportunities to the youth of the area.

“Peace has been restored in the valley and now we need to preserve our environment and natural beauty of this valley as tourism and employment are dependent on the natural beauty and landscape of the area,” he said, adding that the clean and green Pakistan was the responsibility of every citizen. The students from the occupied Kashmir, while talking to the corps commander said that Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan and every Kashmiri dreams of a peaceful Pakistan and Kashmir. They hoped that very soon Kashmir would be part of Pakistan, as no power on earth could separate Kashmir from Pakistan. The students also paid a visit to historical Swat Museum and White Palace in Marghazar. The students thanked the corps commander for the excursion trip, and pledged to work for the developed and prosperous Pakistan.
