MANSEHRA: Former federal minister Sardar Mohammad Yousaf has said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate lost the recent by-election on PK-30 constituency allegedly because of use of money by the rival candidate.
“We are going to challenge results of the recently held by-election on PK-30 as our rival won the loyalties of voters through money,” Yousaf told a public gathering organised by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz at Balakot on Monday.
He said that his party was obliged to the people of PK-30 constituency as the party aspirant secured over 40,000 votes but even then they lost the by-election.Sardar Mohammad Yousaf said that his party’s legacy was based on true democratic norms and would serve people as usual despite losing the by-election.
“Our leader Nawaz Sharif laid the foundation for mega development project Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad road and we also approved natural gas for the people of Balakot and its adjoining union councils in our last government,” he said.
“We ask the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited to start work on a natural gas project approved by the previous government and if it is delayed, we will take to the streets,” he said. The losing candidate of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Mazhar Ali Qasim and others also addressed the gathering.
