WANA: About 150 displaced families from South Waziristan returned to their native areas in Sarwakai tehsil amid stringent security on Thursday.
The internally displaced persons (IDPs) were first brought to the Kor Qila Camp in Tank where free-medical checkup of the tribespeople were carried out and they were provided medicines.
The children were vaccinated against the crippling poliovirus at the ‘Sehat Ka Ittehad’ centre setup at Kor Qila Camp before leaving for their homes.
About 1097 families have returned to native areas so far since the launch of the return process.
About 4,937 families have registered themshelves for return to their settlements in Sarwakai and Sararogha tehsils of South Waziristan.
