PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on Thursday said the government was serious about implementing Fata reforms that would lead to a new era of development in the tribal region.
He was talking to a delegation of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata), said a handout.
Faqir Muhammad, the PML-N Fata head, was leading the delegation. The governor said besides the reconstruction of the damaged infrastructure, various development projects were being executed in the health and education sectors.
No compromises would be made on the quality of work in the ongoing development projects and all would be completed on time, he added.
The governor maintained that the federal government was making all-out efforts to strengthen the socio-economic situation of Fata. He said no stone would be left unturned to remove the sense of deprivation among the tribespeople.
The members of the delegation apprised the Governor of the problems and difficulties being faced by the people of Fata. The Governor assured his full support to remove the grievances of the tribal people.
