The sit-in was also joined by PTI leaders including Member National Assembly (MNA) from Mardan Ali Muhammad Khan, MNA from Frontier Region (FR) Qaisar Jamal and party member from the NA-2 constituency in Peshawar Engr Hamidul Haq.

Leading the sit-in, PTI Fata leader Abdul Ghani said that they were holding the sit-in to press the government for the elimination of the British-era Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) and merger of Fata into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said those speaking against the merger of Fata with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and abolition of the FCR were the enemies of the tribal people who suffered due to years long terrorism and militancy. The participants were carrying placards inscribed with slogans in support of their demands.
