ABBOTTABAD: As many as135 new posts of different cadres were approved by the Finance and Planning Committee of the Abbottabad University of Science & Technology (AUST).
The decision was taken at a budget meeting with Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Iftikhar Ahmed in the chair.Representatives of Higher Education Commission, officials of the Khyber Pakhtun- khwa finance and education departments and treasurer and officials of AUST attended the meeting.
The meeting decided to adjust 147 employees of the Hazara University. A number of decisions regarding promotion, up gradation and increment for the lower cadre employees (Class-V), increase in allowance for employees of grade 1 to 15 were taken.
Developmental budget for 2016-17 was approved. A request was made to the Higher Education Commission and Higher Education Department for an early release of grants to meet the shortfall of revenue and to complete the ongoing projects.
