Speaking at ‘Payam-e-Karbala’ (message of Karbala) conference here under the aegis of Jamaat Ahle Haram, the head of Jamia Naeemia, Dr Raghib Hussain Naeemi emphasised that the Sunnis and Shias would defend Haram Pak together.

He said today, name of holiest places were being used for personal defence. He contended that there was a need for careful analysis of the events outside Pakistan and insisted that Hazrat Imam Husain opted for agony and trials and offering sacrifices, as he could not bear with disgrace to the religion of Islam by those in power at that time.

Allama Amin Shaheedi, who is member of the Council of Islamic Ideology and central leader of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen, said that whosoever followed the path of Hazrat Imam Hussain was the follower of Islam, no matter which school of Islamic thought he adhered to.

He lamented that the policy of tyrants was being followed after mounting a war on Yemen that speak as much lie as possible so that it must become impossible to sift truth from falsehood. Allama Shaheedi wondered was it possible that those, who had deepest love and reverence for Holy Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) and offered prayers with their direction towards Holy Makkah would even think of targeting it. Mufti Gulzar Naeemi of Jamaat Ahle Haram said that in the current wave of militancy, there was a need to look for ways to move forward hand in hand.
