Muqam says PTI cheif wants to destabilise
country; Fata JUI-F leaders accuse PTI of vulgarity
TAKHT BHAI: Adviser to Prime Minister Amir Muqam on Saturday said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was trying to destabilise the country.
Talking to a group of new entrants to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) at the residence of Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Jamshed Mohmand, Amir Muqam alleged that Imran Khan was promoting the agenda of enemies of Pakistan.
He said that the people, particularly the youth, had ignored the country-wide protest call of the PTI chief. “The people will ignore his (Imran) call on November 2 as well,” he added.
The PML-N leader said that the government would not let anyone to take the law into his own hands. “No one would be allowed to launch an assault on Islamabad and lock it down. The law will take its course if anyone tried to challenge writ of the state,” he maintained.
Amir Muqam said that the PML-N workers were ready to foil any conspiracy against the government and the country.
Criticising the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, Amir Muqam said that the PTI-led provincial government had failed to serve the people.
He said that the PTI had pushed the province into crises. “Running a government is not child’s play,” he maintained. He hoped that the PML-N would sweep the 2018 general election on the basis of its performance and would form government in Khyber Pakh-tunkhwa as well.
Amir Muqam facilitated Jamshed Mohmand and his supporters for joining the PML-N and organising a big public meeting. He also directed the government officials to launch development work on the project announced by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during his speech to a public meeting on October 16.
Our correspondent in Ghallanai adds: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leaders belonging to Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) alleged Saturday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was promoting obscenity and vulgarity through foreign non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
Addressing the JUI-F workers convention at Madrassa Jamia Uloom Islamia in Ghallanai, party leaders including JUI-F Fata chapter chief Maulana Mufti Abdul Shakoor Bhittani, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa leader Rafiullah Qasmi, Member National Assembly Maulana Jamaluddin, Maulana Muhammad Arif Haqqani and others urged the party activists to brace themselves up for upcoming elections in 2018.
They appealed the JUI-F workers to prepare themselves to defeat the secular elements in the country.
The JUI-F leaders said that they would put the country on the path to prosperity and development after coming into power and implement Shariah through democratic means.
They said that people of Fata were not in the favour of merging the tribal region into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but rather wanted a separate province for themselves. The speakers said that they disapprove the recommendations suggested by the Fata Reforms Committee.
The JUI-F leaders said that the merger of Fata into KP would deprive the tribespeople of seats in the Senate as well as jobs and recruitments in various government departments.
The speakers argued that rampant corruption in the country was caused by divergence from the Islamic values as people had forgotten the teachings of Quran and Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
They also appealed the masses to join JUI-F to stop PTI from spreading vulgarity and obscenity in the country.
They asked the authorities concerned to make arrangements for a respectful return of tribespeople to their hometowns who had been living a displaced life for about a decade now.
