Teachers, students stage ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ rally

PESHAWAR: The teachers and students of different public sector educational institutions on Friday staged ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ rally under the aegis of Tanzeem-i-Asatiza Pakistan to show their love for the country, which is celebrating its 69th independence day tomorrow.

The participants of the rally gathered at Government Shaheed Hasnain Sharif Higher Secondary School, City-1, and started a protest march. The rally was led by Misbahul Islam, central leader of Tanzeem-i-Asatiza Pakistan, Main Ziaur Rahman, Sikandar Khan, Shamshad Khan, Firdaus Khalil and others. The participants of the rally were holding banners and placards inscribed with different patriotic slogans.

They were also chanting slogans. After passing through different roads, the rally reached to Peshawar Press Club, where it was converted into a public gathering. Speaking on the occasion, the leaders said that after a long struggle and great sacrifices of the forefathers Pakistan won freedom.
