Presley Gerber death: Drug overdose emerges as suspected cause

Presley Gerber died on Sunday. He was the only son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber.

But now reports indicate his death is suspected to be caused by a drug overdose at an L.A. rehab facility.

Still, it is unclear about the cause of death because the autopsy has not been completed yet by the medical examiner.

“The investigation is still ongoing, and there is limited information available,” the statement said.

“Death was pronounced at 09:45 hours on September 20, 2026, by responding paramedics. The Santa Monica Police Department is the investigating law enforcement agency.”

According to TMZ, Gerber has been living at a house on the grounds of the rehabilitation center in Los Angeles.

He was not alone, though, as several other people were with him.

A brief look at Gerber shows him following in the footsteps of his mom, Crawford, and sister, Kaia Gerber, in modeling.

He made his runway debut at just 16 while signing with IMG Models at 15.

Despite a promising career, Gerber had his own fair share of troubles.

First, an arrest for DUI in Beverly Hills while he was 19. He received three years of probation alongside community service and a DUI program.

Not to mention, Gerber also struggled with substance abuse as well as mental health challenges.
