King Charles, Prince Harry’s royal feud gets messier with latest letter move

King Charles has apparently made his family feud with Prince Harry public after the monarch sent a letter reminding the duke and his wife, Meghan Markle, of their private citizen status following their UK return.

As September 8 marked Queen Elizabeth II's fourth death anniversary, a royal commentator claimed that this should be the time to honor the late queen instead of Charles and Harry pulling the public into their feud.

Royal commentator Tom Sykes told Page Six, “Today marks four years since the death of Queen Elizabeth II, a woman who spent 70 years on the throne never making anything about herself.”

“It should be a day for remembering her. Instead, thanks to Prince Harry, and I would argue the King, we have all been dragged into a squalid little argument between the duke, his father and his father’s staff, after Harry’s office told the BBC the couple was ‘surprised’ by it.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are not surprised with the "content" but with the "timing" of Charles' move, as an insider told the royal reporter.

He explained, “They agree with the letter. They accept Harry isn’t a working royal. They just object to the fact that it landed in his office minutes before it went out and the King felt the need to restate a known fact at all.”

For those unaware of what Charles has stated in his letter, it reportedly clarified that the King's youngest son and his wife will still not be able to use the titles of “His and Her Royal Highness" despite their return to the UK, as per top palace official Lord Chamberlain

“It is well known that in January 2020 the Duke and Duchess stepped down from undertaking representative duties on behalf of the Sovereign, and are no longer working Members of the Royal Family,” the letter reportedly stated.
