Prince William 'surrendering the ability to operate' after Prince Harry's UK return
Prince Harry returned to United Kingdom last month after six spending years away from monarchy
Prince William is reportedly fuming over Prince Harry’s pretentious behaviour since he returned to the United Kingdom.
For those unaware, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back as senior royals and left the UK for North America in January 2020. They were mad at media intrusion and Buckingham Palace for stopping them from developing their "SussexRoyal" brand. After spending six years away from the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, along with their children Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, came back to the UK on August 26.
Harry and Meghan are nonworking members of the royal family despite their reconciliation with the British monarch, King Charles; however, they are pretending otherwise, which is making Prince William incensed.
In addition, Harry’s comments during his Ukraine trip also added fuel to the Prince of Wales’ anger, as he stated, "I will always be part of the Royal Family, and I'm here working and doing the very thing that I was born to do. And I enjoy doing it."
An insider told Radar Online, "William is fuming because, from his perspective, Harry appears to be presenting himself as though he can simply step back into the role of a working royal whenever it suits him. Harry remains the King's son, and nobody can take that away from him, but being a member of the family and representing the monarchy are two very different things.”
"William believes the agreement reached when Harry and Meghan left was clear. They wanted independence, and they were given it, but that meant surrendering the ability to operate as working royals,” the source shared.
Prince William is on the verge of losing his temper, witnessing his younger brother maintaining a fake profile which he “regards as the impression of a parallel royal operation.”
"Harry and Meghan's return to Britain makes the issue even more sensitive. William does not want the public confused about who officially represents the King. He believes there has to be an unmistakable dividing line,” the insider revealed.
