Beyonce lands special role in female boxer Claressa Shields' retirement plan

American professional boxer Claressa Shields, known for her undefeated pro record, expressed her retirement wish, and it includes Beyoncé!

The two-time Olympic medal winner recently caught up with TMZ on Tuesday and made a direct request to Queen Bey to walk her to the ring on her last match.

The former professional mixed martial artist said, "Beyoncé, listen, baby girl. Before I retire."

"I need you to walk me out. You pick the song, and only perform 30 seconds, one minute, whatever you decide."

"Before I retire, I need Beyoncé to walk out the greatest woman of all time, and that's my only request. I won't ask you for nothing else. I won't even ask you for a picture if that's not what you want."

Further spilling about her retirement plans, Shields reassured that she is not planning her last fight until she is 38. She is currently 31.

The boxer said similar remarks earlier this month on The Lou Young Show. When asked during the show to name the top five influential women she would like to accompany her, she replied, “Let me tell you something Beyoncé comes first. Nobody is above Beyoncé.”

She further said at the time, "Beyoncé, before I retire, I need you to walk me out,” she added. “By the time, I, when I’m retiring at 38. So whenever you find the time in your busy, beautiful schedule…”

Shields, who holds multiple medals, world titles and is famed for her unbeatable fight score, even has a biopic on her life.
