The Nancy Guthrie case has reached the six-month mark without achieving a significant breakthrough. According to a DNA genetic expert, the analysis required a high level of specialized knowledge and answers in the case may still take more time to emerge.
The mother of “Today” show co-host, Savannah Guthrie is believed to have been taken from her Tucson, Arizona home early on February 1.
In this connection, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos stated that a hair sample found produced no major results, marking the first time the results were shared publicly.
According to a source told NewsNation, ongoing genetic genealogy efforts have somehow produced matches that were definitely absolved as suspects.
Cece Moore told Elizabeth Vargas Reports on Friday: “When you are collecting DNA from a crime scene that is very likely going to happen. As far as the mixture goes, we knew it was a complex mixture.”
“We knew it was more than two people. It is disappointing to hear that there are four or more people with the latest interviews that the sheriff has begun because it is going to make it extremely difficult, Moore continued.”
As the case moves forward, the Sheriff's Office urges the public to consider whether someone they know observed changes in mood, routines and other behaviors following Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.
