Pete Davidson reveals why critics' doubts motivate him

Pate Davidson opened up about how negative remarks fuel him to give his best.

The comedian and actor, who is all set to film his upcoming movie,Tommy Karate, in which he stars as notorious mafia killer Tommy Pitera, admitted that he is excited to play the role because "no one believes" he can do it.

Pete, who previously confessed of feeling pigeonholed as an actor, grabbed the role as soon as it was offered, he told Interview magazine.

The Saturday Night Live! alum gushed, "It’s so great; it’s dark and f***** up, and no one believes I can do it."

Sharing insights into the storyline Pete detailed, "It’s about a f****** Italian guy who gets bullied in high school, goes to Japan to learn karate, and then comes back and becomes an enforcer for the Bonanno crime family."

"It’s the best true mob story never told," he remarked

Pete further shared that one of the other moving forces behind taking the role is when he read "comments under any articles related to this movie, none of them were positive."

And this "fuelled" Pete "to prove" himself he admitted, noting, "I’m very inspired."

Now, Pete can't wait to begin the filming.

He added, "It’s going to be fun, dude. We’re shooting next month. It’s wacky, so I’m excited."
