Geno Smith faces serious allegations after woman's viral Instagram post

Geno Smith has been under fire due to serious allegations of physical assault as a woman accused him of attacking her in a viral Instagram video.

In a video widely circulating on social media platforms, it can be seen that a woman, whose identity is not specified, publicly accused Smith of physical violence, alleging the unsettling behaviour stemmed from his refusal to assist in care of their special needs child.

She further claimed that Smith neglected his parental responsibilities and preferred to indulge himself in adult content and video games.

In the footage that took the internet by storm, Smith can be heard on a phone call saying “She just called the police”. A separate video showed him talking with multiple police officers, but no arrest was made.

These serious yet unverified allegations have ignited a polarized response online, with public opinion split between those who support the woman’s claims and those who remain skeptical of her account.

Smith has not yet responded to these unverified claims and any outcome of police contact also has not been publicly confirmed.

Geno Smith was associated with the Seattle Seahawks for two seasons, 2022 and 2023 where he not only made the Pro Bowl but also won NFL Comeback Player of the Year award.

Later in 2025, he joined the Las Vegas Raiders’ quarterback. In 2026 March, the Jets acquired Smith in a trade with the Raiders.

However, this viral Instagram video puts Geno Smith at the center of disturbing claims of domestic violence and is expected to jeopardise Smith’s career.
