PESHAWAR: The Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) on Monday announced result of the entrance test for admission to medical and dental colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the three top positions were clinched by boys.
Saleh Hassan, roll number 17591 of the Abbottabad board topped the test by obtaining 694 out of the total 800 marks. He was followed by Hassan Tahir, roll number 15215, of the same board with 684 marks, while Bakhtiar Ahmad, roll number 6488, of Peshawar board scored 681 to get the third position.
A total of 27,573 candidates including 16,791 boys and 10,782 girls appeared in the test held in five centres across the province on Sunday. Among them some 75 students could bag above 600 marks. A total of 775 students got marks between 500-599, some 1915 student scored between 400-499 and 3033 obtained marks between 300-399.
The results were displayed on Khyber Medical University’s (KMU) website www.kmu.edu.pk and ETEA website www.etea.edu.pk. The students who appeared in the test were also sent the results through SMS on their mobile. Around 2000 students would be admitted to the public and private sector medical and dental colleges in the province. The number of seats in the public sector colleges is around 1250.
