Rs22m being spent on Tank uplift

TANK: District Nazim Mustafa Khan Kundi has said that all possible options were being explored for the socio-economic development of the district.

Talking to reporters, he said the district government was spending Rs22 million on different uplift projects in all the union councils.District Nazim Mustafa Khan Kundi said that Rs22 million was being spent on the improvement of health, education, communication, agriculture and other social sectors.

Kundi added that the improvement of road infrastructure and up-gradation of communication means would bring the underprivileged areas at par with the developed areas, adding, it would enhance the life standard of the masses.

While referring to drinking water issue of the district, he added that district government was considering installing solar-tube-wells to overcome the core issue of water shortage in the district .

The district nazim informed that there were certain options to resolve the long last civic issue of clean drinking water.” To a question, Mustafa Kundi said that due share of irrigation water from the perennial water of Gomal Zam dam would also be ensured to the area landlords. He said that soon a meeting with Project Manager Gomal Zam dam and deputy commissioner would be convened to address the issue.
