'It: Welcome to Derry' features Bill Skarsgård as 'Pennywise'

Bill Skarsgård, who is widely known for playing the terrifying clown Pennywise in the It movies, can be a good fit for the role Joker in the upcoming DCU Batman.

As per a viral tweet, the 35-year-old Swedish actor is in talks to play a different kind of joker in,The Brave and The Bold.

On October 27, a post was circulating on social media by the account named DisccusingFish, claiming that the actor has been cast for the titular role in the new film.

"Bill Skarsgård is in talks to play The Joker in The Brave and The Bold”, the caption read.

The post created hysteria on social media with some fans actually believing the news and expressing their excitement over the new casting.

However, soon some netizens noticed that the bio of this account read, “parody account”.

What made fans believe the news was the logo the fake account used which was the same as the popular culture page, Discussing Film, a renowned publication having more than 2.5 million followers.

Therefore, it was finally concluded that the post was fake and the news had no authenticity.

So far, there is no confirmation if Skarsgård will be playing Joker in the Andy Muschietti’s Batman movie.

However, the actor once expressed his interest in playing the DC villain in the Happy Sad Confused Podcast.

Work wise, Bill is currently featuring as Pennywise in the HBO backed prequel series of the It movies titled, Welcome to Derry
