Jason Momoa is almost unrecognisable in his latest transformation — and this time, he’s traded in his signature long locks for a bald look.
The Game of Thrones alum unveiled his dramatic makeover in Chime’s new holiday campaign, Bank Smarter This Season, where he plays multiple quirky characters in a festive twist on gift-giving chaos.
In the ad, the 46-year-old actor appears as a bed salesman sporting a bald head with copper-colored hair on the sides, paired with wire-framed glasses and a gray wool suit as he stands in a mattress store clutching a clipboard.
Elsewhere in the commercial, he channels a mullet-wearing security officer and a pink-clad cashier complete with pearl-embellished spectacles — each character adding a dose of holiday humour to the campaign.
“We had a lot of fun creating the different characters and bringing the energy of the holidays to life,” Momoa shared in a press release.
“At its core, the campaign reflects Chime’s mission to have financial tools work harder for people, and capturing that spirit on screen was a blast.”
The Aquaman star also hinted that this may be the start of a longer collaboration with the digital banking company. “I’m excited to see what we create together next,” he teased.
While fans may be surprised by Momoa’s bald look, it isn’t the first time he’s changed his appearance for a role. Earlier this year, the actor shaved off his beard for the first time in six years to reprise his role as Duncan Idaho in the upcoming Dune 3.
Despite joking in an Instagram video at the time, “Goddammit, I hate it,” he admitted the transformation was worth it, adding with a laugh, “Only for you,” directed toward filmmaker Denis Villeneuve.
