Timothée Chalamet, James Mangold reunite for exciting heist film

Timothée Chalamet and director James Mangold are teaming up once again for the upcoming heist film High Side.

The two previously collaborated on the Oscar-nominated Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown. In High Side, Chalamet plays a former Motocross racer who gets involved in a series of bank robberies.

The film is described as a mix of the 1995 thriller Heatand the 2016 crime drama Hell or High Water. Mangold expressed his excitement to work with Chalamet again, saying, "Timothee is a trusted collaborator, a generational artist and a person I adore. I can’t wait to roll up my sleeves and work together again."

The story is based on ideas penned by Jaimie Oliveira, who is also adapting the screenplay.

The film will be produced by Chernin Entertainment, with Paramount Pictures backing the project.

Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein of Paramount Pictures expressed their enthusiasm for the film, saying, "We’re thrilled to be in business with visionary artists like James and Timothee, and exceptional collaborators [producers Peter Chernin and David Ready] at Chernin."

They added, "What Jaime has created reflects the kind of bold, original storytelling we’re committed to championing at Paramount – and we couldn’t be more excited to hit the ground running with High Side."

Mangold is also working on other exciting projects, including an adaptation of Swamp Thingfor DC Studios and a Star Warsprequel titled Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi, which he's set to co-write and direct.

He previously shared his vision for the Star Warsfilm, saying, "The Star Wars movie would be taking place 25,000 years before any known Star Wars movies takes place." He added, "It's an area and a playground that I've always [wanted to explore] and that I was inspired by as a teenager."
