Daredevil star Devine Lee Harjes has passed away at the age of 41.
Reportedly, the actor who played Oscar, the nurse who worked at Rikers Island, in the Marvel movie, breathed his last on Tuesday, May 27.
Harjes, best known for his work as Jack Dempsey in Boardwalk Empire and as Clyde, the guard who worked in the bank in DC's Gotham, died at Mount Sinai West Hospital in New York City.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, earlier this week, the late actor succumbed to an illness following his cancer diagnosis in February.
After earning a professional acting degree in New York City, Harjes began his career working on student films, Off-Broadway productions, and independent films.
In addition to his roles in both the Marvel and DC universes, the Texas-born artist’s acting credits include appearances in Blue Bloods, Boyz of Summer, Elementary, FBI, The Forest Is Red, Orange Is the New Black, Rebel in the Rye, Surprise Surprise, Mr. Conovy, and When the Shadow Falls.
His most recent role was as Pete Baylor in nine episodes of Manifest season three on NBC.
Harjes is survived by his parents, Randy and Rosanne Harjes, his sister Trish Harjes and her husband Justin Kelley, his two nephews, two nieces, and his ex-wife and Gotham actress Shiva Shobitha.
