MANSEHRA: The three-day Tablighi Ijtema concluded at Baffa on Sunday with prayers for unity of the Ummah.“This was Hazara division’s biggest ever gathering for effective and foolproof security arrangements had been made,” District Police officer Shafiullah Khan Gandapur told e reporters.
Deputy Commissioner Khaliq Iqbal and DPO Shafiullah Khan Gandapur visited the venue and reviewed security and other arrangements for the final day.Throughout the congregation, religious scholars urged participants to adhere firmly to Islam’s teachings and resist the temptations of evil that attempt to divert humanity from righteousness and steadfastness.
The number of attendees surged on the final day, as faithful gathered in large numbers for the concluding sermon and collective prayers.One of the standout features of the event was the hospitality shown by residents of Baffa and nearby areas toward participants assembled from Hazara Division, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and the rest of the country.
Medical camps run by both the public sector and nonprofit organisations provided free round-the-clock healthcare services to attendees. The Ijtema, spread over 3,000 kanals on both sides of the Siran River, was secured by over 2,000 police personnel and volunteers.
