MINGORA: An All Parties Conference (APC) here on Tuesday opposed the proposed Mines and Minerals Bill 2025. The APC was attended by representatives of different political parties, which was convened by Awami National Party.
The event, chaired by ANP district president Sher Shah Khan, was attended by ANP secretary general Dr Salim Khan and senior representatives from various political parties.During the conference, leaders from across the political spectrum unanimously rejected the proposed bill, terming it a serious threat to provincial autonomy and an attempt to centralize control over natural resources.
The participants asserted that the natural resources of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa rightfully belong to its people, and any form of centralized control or interference by the federal government would be unacceptable. The conference concluded with a strong message of unity among political parties in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, vowing to resist any legislative move that undermines the province’s rights over its resources.
