PESHAWAR: A large number of students, faculty members, and administrative staff of the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women’s University Peshawar (SBBWUP) staged a rally on campus Thursday to condemn the Indian attacks and express solidarity with the armed forces.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Safia Ahmed led the protest, whose participants carried banners and chanted slogans against the aggression by India. They flayed the Narendra Modi government for violating human rights by targeting civilians.
The vice-chancellor condemned India’s cowardly act and said that the aggression claimed the lives of innocent civilians and the international community and forums must hold New Delhi accountable for the inhumane acts.
She said we, as a nation, stand united and firm alongside our armed forces and are ready to respond to any hostile attempt made by the enemy.“We take pride in our armed forces and their abilities to give a befitting response to the enemy having malicious intentions,” she said, adding we are a peace-loving nation and believe that humanity comes first, but we can challenge the forces bent on bringing harm to our motherland.
