PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (KPPRA) organised a three-day training workshop in Swat.

An official communique said that as part of its commitment to effective digital transformation, KPPRA organised the three-day training workshop in partnership with the World Bank-funded Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Spending Effectively for Enhanced Development Programme. The event brought together officials from key departments, including Communications and Works (C&W), Irrigation, Local Government, Higher Education, Public Health Engineering, Elementary Education, Health, Fisheries, Sports, and Swat University.

The workshop was aimed at familiarising the participants with the KPPRA Act, procurement rules, and procedures, while providing practical, hands-on training on the newly launched E-PADS software.

Amanullah Khan, director of KPPRA, led the sessions, offering insights into the software’s advanced features and the broader benefits of adopting a digital procurement framework.Speaking at the workshop’s inaugural session, Amanullah Khan emphasised that E-PADS has been rolled out across the province, meeting all regulatory requirements for efficient and transparent public procurement. He further highlighted KPPRA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional capacity through similar training sessions in various districts, ensuring the smooth, province-wide adoption of the new system.
