JHANG: MPA Sheikh Muhammad Akram on Friday expressed reservations regarding outsourcing of public health outlets and schools.He extended his support to the protesting employees and urged the government to reconsider its decision to outsource state-run health facilities and educational institutions.
While speaking to media, MPA Sheikh Akram stated that the Punjab government’s decision to outsource public Rural Health Centres (RHCs), Basic Health Units (BHUs) and schools was detrimental to the interests of the common people who rely on public sector services. He emphasised that such outsourcing would negatively impact the provision of free healthcare and education to middle and low-income families.
He highlighted the issue of regular male and female doctors who were awaiting appointments to vacant posts in Jhang district. He urged the authorities to appoint them without any further delay.
OPEN COURTS: Deputy Commissioner Ali Akbar on Friday stated that the purpose of setting up open courts at the tehsil level is to provide prompt relief to the public regarding revenue matters.
He expressed these views while addressing the monthly open revenue forum held at the DC office. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Dr Imtiaz Mohsin, the Assistant Commissioners and other senior officers of the Revenue Department were also present. The DC listened to the complaints of the people and issued necessary orders on the spot.
