Saraiki Culture Day observed

MULTAN: People from different walks of life, including Saraiki nationalists and political workers, Thursday observed Saraiki Culture Day and vowed maintaining the Saraiki identity despite all difficulties.

Mostly participants were in Saraiki Ajraks and they greeted each other and youth performed Saraiki Jhumar, Saraiki poets recited Kalam and singers Sajid Multani, Sobia Malik, Ashraf Pathane Khan, Faheem Sajid, Hamid Faridi presented songs of Wasib in their melodious voices.

On the occasion, the Saraiki leaders said after centuries, the Saraiki nation has revived its identity in the form of Blue Ajrak, and the Saraiki language, which the invaders tried to destroy and gave it different names but now that identity is alive again with the name Saraiki.On the occasion, Saraikistan Qaumi Council Chairman Zahoor Dharija urged the authorities concerned to back the Saraiki Culture Day as they backed Punjabi Culture Day.
