PESHAWAR: Adviser to the Chief Minister on Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif on Saturday urged the elders from Kurram to distance themselves from troublemakers and support the government’s efforts in curbing lawlessness in the district.
He held separate meetings with tribal elders from Kurram to discuss the prevailing law and order situation in the region.
“These miscreants are trying to fuel sectarian tensions, but we will not let them succeed in their nefarious designs,” Barrister Saif maintained.
He said that the provincial government, under Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s leadership, was actively working towards a permanent resolution of longstanding disputes. He reassured that all possible measures were being taken to maintain stability in the area.
He said such elements were not only enemies of Kurram but also a threat to the entire state.
During the meetings, a detailed discussion took place regarding security concerns in Kurram district. The elders expressed their reservations and urged Barrister Saif to take strict action against disruptive elements. They also reaffirmed their commitment to implementing the peace agreement and assured full cooperation with security forces and the government.
The elders stated that anti-peace elements were the real enemies of Kurram’s stability. They called on the government to take decisive action against these elements to ensure lasting peace. They said that the ongoing unrest has severely impacted educational, economic, and social activities in the region.
