Bajaur residents rally against rising lawlessness

KHAR: The activists of various political parties here on Sunday expressed concern over the prevailing lawlessness and asked the government to take corrective steps to improve law and order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Bajaur Action Committee had arranged the Amn Pasoon, which was attended by a large number of people.The demonstration was organised to demand the restoration of peace and the protection of constitutional and fundamental human rights of the people.

Several prominent political figures, including MPA Nisar Baz, former MNAs Gul Zafar Khan and Akhunzada Chattan, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Haroonur Rasheed, Sardar Khan, Maulana Waheed Gul, ANP local leader Gul Afzal, Inayat Killay Bazaar president Imran Mahir, Malik Gul Karim Khan, Malik Riaz, Mian Habib Gul, JUI leader Maulana Abdul Rasheed and others, addressed the gathering.

In their speeches, the speakers emphasised that ensuring law and order was the primary responsibility of the government. They warned that the failure to do so not only disrupted public life but also hampered economic activities.Expressing concern over the rising incidents of lawlessness in Bajaur, they stated that the deteriorating security situation was creating an atmosphere of fear and instability, significantly affecting local businesses and daily life.The speakers further criticized the authorities for neglecting the grievances of the people, stating that abandoning citizens in times of crisis reflected a failure of leadership.
