Implementation of Safe City project sought

PESHAWAR: Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) President Fazal Moqeem Khan has called for the immediate implementation of the Safe City project to enhance security and facilitate business activities in Peshawar.

Speaking at a meeting with traders at the Chamber House, attended by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar Capt (retd) Sarmad Saleem Akram and SSP Operations Peshawar Masood Bangash, the SCCI chief emphasised the need for business-friendly policies and measures to ease trade operations.

He urged authorities to end unwarranted crackdowns and double taxation while ensuring better traffic management, sanitation, and coordination between the district administration and police.

The SCCI chief stressed the importance of implementing a comprehensive traffic management plan, improvingcleanliness, and fostering close coordination between the district administration and police.

DC Peshawar Sarmad Saleem Akram assured traders that efforts were underway to improve law and order, streamline traffic management, and dismantle illegal structures. He announced that a comprehensive traffic plan was ready and would soon be shared with traders.
