Three killed in Swabi firing incident

SWABI: Three persons, including a man, his son and passer-by woman, were killed in a firing incident here on Friday, police and Rescue 1122 officials said.

They said Inayat Khan and his son Muhammad Nabi were on their way home on a motorcycle when rivals allegedly opened fire on them near Kala Bridge on Swabi-Jehangira Road.As a result, Inayat and his son were killed on the spot while a passerby- woman sustained injuries. The injured woman was shifted to the Bacha Khan Teaching Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Police officials said that the accused identified as Qayash Khan was arrested and the pistol used in the incident was recovered from him.Meanwhile, a man identified as Asghar Khan, 52, was killed when unidentified assailants opened fire on him in Panjpir village.Police have registered an FIR and started an investigation.
