PESHAWAR: Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif on Wednesday administered the oath to the newly elected office-bearers of the Lower Chitral Press Club.

During the ceremony, he reiterated the provincial government’s commitment to supporting the media in fostering an independent and conducive environment for the welfare, progress, and development of journalistic standards in the province.

Dr Saif expressed confidence that the journalistic community in Chitral would utilize their talents to raise awareness about societal issues and contribute to development initiatives. He acknowledged the positive and pragmatic role that Chitral’s journalists have consistently played in promoting good governance in the district.

He further emphasized that the funds allocated by the provincial government for the welfare of journalists should be utilized effectively to enhance journalistic standards and build the capacity of media professionals in line with contemporary needs.
