PARACHINAR: The leaders of Awami National Party (ANP) here on Monday urged the Pashtuns to solve internal conflicts by adhering to the philosophy of nonviolence advocated by Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan who was lovingly called Bacha Khan by his followers.
They were speaking at a ceremony organized by the ANP Kurram district chapter to mark the death anniversaries of the great Pakhtun leader and advocate of nonviolence Bacha Khan and his son Abdul Wali Khan.
ANP district president Hamid Hussain, Syed Yasir, Daulat Ali, Prof Sabir Hussain, Abid Hussain, Tabassum Afghani, and others paid tributes to the two leaders.They shed light on Bacha Khan’s lifelong struggle for the rights of the Pakhtuns, during which he endured immense hardships. They lamented that the current turmoil, violence and instability within the Pakhtuns society stemmed from non-adherence to Bacha Khan’s philosophy of nonviolence.
