BUREWALA: The Agriculture Department stressed the importance of promoting early-sown cotton cultivation, emphasising its crucial role as the backbone of the national economy.
In a meeting of the Agriculture (Ext) Wing attended by office-bearers of the Pesticide Dealers Association, Agri Deputy Director Rana Muhammad Arif urged the dealers to ensure the availability of triple-gene cotton seeds capable of yielding 40 to 50 maunds per acre. This, he emphasised, would help farmers achieve better and more profitable harvests.
