PESHAWAR: Deputy Inspector General, Kohat Range, on Thursday directed the Karak police to launch a special campaign against drug dealers, extortionists, usury lenders, and other anti-social elements.
A crime meeting concerning Karak district was held at the regional police office, with RPO Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat in the chair. The meeting was attended by the District Police Officer (DPO) Karak and the superintendent of police (SP) Investigation Karak.
The DPO Karak briefed the meeting about the crime and law and order situation in Karak district. A detailed review of crimes within the district was conducted, and necessary directives were issued to combat criminal activities and apprehend individuals involved in heinous crimes.
A station house officer was suspended and transferred to the Police Lines Karak due to poor performance. The DPO Karak was directed to initiate departmental proceedings against him.
In light of the prevailing law and order situation, the DPO Karak was also tasked with ensuring foolproof security for sensitive installations. The DIG emphasised that the internal accountability process within the Police Department would continue with dedication to ensure optimal performance.
