MIRPUR: The Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST) in collaboration with Small Grant Training Programme hosted a six-week professional development programme for English teachers, said a press release.
The closing ceremony of TEA Small Grant Training Program focusing on,’’Promoting Paradigm Shift in Education’’ at MUST, was led by TEA Alumna, Zeeb-Un-Nisa. This training was funded by RELO Pakistan at the US Embassy, Islamabad and implemented by Vision-Building Future.
Zeeb-Un-Nisa, who had the privilege of attending the Teaching Excellence and Achievement programme at University of Nebraska, Omaha, in 2022 brought her expertise and experience to the program. The programme aimed to empower the English language teachers to embrace modern teaching techniques by shifting focus from traditional teacher-centered approach to student-centered approach.
The closing ceremony was attended by notable guests including President, Vision-Building Future, Syeda Urooj Haider, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities MUST Prof Dr Zafar Iqbal, Chairperson Department of English Dr Sehrish Shafi and Assistant Professor Dr Touqeer Ahmed.
Syeda Urooj Haider acknowledged the efforts of trainer Zeeb-Un-Nisa and MUST team in making the programme a success.
