PESHAWAR: The members of the Alamgirians Association met Corps Commander Peshawar Lt General Hidayat ur Rehman and discussed matters pertaining to the former students of their alma mater, Military College, Serai Alamgir, Jhelum.
The seven-member delegation was led by Colonel (R) Iqbal Shahin, the president of the Peshawar zone of the Alamgirians Association. Those who have studied at the Military College, Serai Alamgir, are referred to as Alamgirians.
As Corps Commander Lt General Hidayat ur Rehman is also an Alamgirian, he was happy to interact with other former students of the Military College. They discussed the need for bringing together the Alamgirians and helping the needy among them and also jointly undertaking some charity and welfare work.
The Corps Commander said he would host an Eid Milan party for the Alamgirians in Peshawar after having hosted one such get-together a few months ago.
Col (R) Iqbal Shahin and other members of the Alamgirians Association praised the security forces for carrying out the Zarb-e-Azb and other military operations, defeating the militants and restoring peace and paid homage to the soldiers for their sacrifices.
