PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Monday issued notices to the federal government in 13 cases of missing persons and to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in 10 such cases, seeking their responses.
A single bench of PHC Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim heard the petitions.Additional Attorney General Sanaullah appeared on behalf of the federal government, while Additional Advocate General Inamullah Yousafzai represented the provincial government.
At the hearing, the additional advocate general presented reports in four cases related to missing persons. The federal government submitted a report in one case.Following these submissions, the court directed the KP government to respond in 10 cases and the federal government in 13 cases, issuing formal notices to both.
The court sought detailed replies from the respective authorities to address the concerns of families seeking justice for their missing loved ones.Meanwhile, the KP government submitted reports in four cases of missing persons.
