Four booked under Peca Act in eunuch torture case

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police on Friday lodged a case under Preservation of Electronic Crimes Act against four accused for torturing, sexually assaulting a transgender person and making video of the incident viral on social media.

Peca Act.

A video of torturing Maheen went viral recently on social media. This earned widespread condemnation on media and social media.

The government and police were asked to provide security to the transgender persons after the old video of the victim went viral.

Police officials soon after the incident said the video was an old one and a case has already been lodged in it.
