BATTAGRAM: A 14-year-old TikTok sensation Maaz Jani has died from a lung related disease.
The young social media star’s condition required specialized treatment available only in India. The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had initially arranged for his treatment after Maaz met the chief minister, who promptly announced support for his medical needs. Despite securing a visa for treatment, Maaz’s health deteriorated and he succumbed to his illness in Battagram before being taken abroad. His death prompted an outpouring of grief in the area. The funeral prayer for Maaz Jani was held in Ajmera village in Battagram. A large number of people from various walks of life attended the last rituals. Social activist Fayyaz Muhammad Jamal Khan expressed sorrow over his death and offered prayers for his eternal peace.
