PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim has stressed the need for full cooperation between the bench and bar to dispose of a maximum number of cases pending in the courts.
Speaking at a meeting, the PHC CJ said that judges in the merged districts should perform duty dedicatedly to facilitate the litigants by providing quick and cheap justice.
Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim and administration committee member and Senior Pusine Justice Ijaz Anwar held a meeting with district and sessions judges of Mohmand, Khyber and Peshawar and discussed matters related to the case management policy.
The meeting was also attended by members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council, the president Peshawar High Court Bar Association, presidents and general secretaries of districts and tehsils bar associations and others.
PHC Additional Registrar (Admin) Mumraiz Khan Khalil explained the agenda of the meeting and the provision of fair and easy justice to the litigants as per the PHC CJ vision.
The three judges from Mohmand, Khyber and Peshawar presented the number of pending cases and those disposed of so far in their respective district courts.
