Three labourers injured in Bannu blast

BANNU: Three labourers sustained injuries when unidentified motorcyclists hurled a hand-grenade at them near Purana Kurram Pul in Bannu district on Monday.

Local sources said that the labourers, whose names could not be ascertained, were busy working near Purana Kurram Pul. In the meantime, unknown bike riders came and threw a hand-grenade at them, injuring them seriously

The victims were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, Bannu.The attackers fled the scene after the subversive act.The terror act occurred at a time when thousands of people in Bannu and adjoining districts were staging a protest sit-in against the unrest and lawlessness and urging the government and law-enforces to restore a lasting peace in the region.
